Regarding the location of the shopping centre in the Hidro area, a neighbourhood inhabitant tells us:
”I watch all this in despair and I have a feeling of helplessness as I cannot influence the unfolding events in any way. What can I say, it’s like the legend of Manole, the master builder. The walls will be raised and cover all this view, the Dealul Melcilor Hill, the Tâmpa Hill. Instead of that crane there will be buildings even higher than the three existing ones.
From here you can see better what will happen in the future. The height of the crane indicates the maximum quota of the future building.
Considering the current congestion, imagine what will happen when thousands and thousands of people will come here and resort to all driving techniques. What will happen with a road system already suffocated?
I am totally flabbergasted... The proposed architecture is satisfactory, the whole building has been designed in an up-to-date manner, but its location is totally misplaced and so it will be for a very long time.
This will trigger other interventions in the nearby areas (...) Can you imagine this, all those tiny, individual houses next to this monster. What a combination! They will simply disappear. Although it is a great area to live in. I don’t know to what extent it will remain so, with this monster nearby.”
